As a Doula Rebecca believes that each birthing mother is unique. She respects the diverse needs of birth: Natural labor, Cesarean or VBAC. By combining her massage skills, years of birth journeys and gentle guidance, she creates the balance for a calm grounded and empowered birth. She continues her support through postpartum care, including lactation guidance and instruction in infant massage techniques useful into the growing years.Rebecca hosts monthly informational Doula Teas at the Ballard House featuring professionals on all aspects of pregnancy, birth, postpartum and infant care. As a Massage Therapist, Rebecca works throughout greater Portland, travleing with her massage table to the comfort of clients' homes, or meeting at her Portland office. She specializes in Prenatal, Postpartum, Infant Massage and provides massage as adjunctive health care for the whole family. Rebecca resides in North Yarmouth with her husband and children, 8 and 3. Her focus on family, nutrition, running, and Yoga keep her grounded and energized to share in birth journeys.
